MASTER CYLINDER

I haven't worked on this master cylinder, but I have checked the fluid level.  Nothing leaking and brakes work so I left it alone. The wood panel in the floor above is clearly visible.

FRONT DISC BRAKES

Again, I used the pressure washer to clean up this work area.  The front brake caliper bleeder valve was broken off.  When the new brake line was installed, air was trapped in the line.  There was no way to relieve it.  This new brake caliper (notice the twin caliper) was super easy to install.  The two retaining bolts allowed it to easily slip off.  I filled the calipers with brake fluid before I installed to reduce bleeding.
To get to the brake caliper, I had to remove the front tire.  That was a job.  This large tire iron has the required 1½" lug socket.  I added a 4' pipe extension to crack the lugs.  A 2½ ton floor jack was used to lift the front axle.  A jack stand was put in place as a safety measure but not used.  The floor jack easily did the job.

The entire project (with parts on hand) took about 30 minutes.
