I am looking for a set of caps that cover the center hub,( axle ), on rear, and also whatever matches for the front axle, ( where the dust cap is seen through the rim center. I have looked at a few commercial truck repair / parts houses, but no luck yet. I DID howevr find a shop that CAN order them to be made, but a minimum of 20 will have to be ordered, and they are not willing to order that many due to fear that they wont be sold. Well, I guess I really contracted Travco Fever. I bought a 1966 Travco in October 2002, intending to do a complete restoration. It needed paint, it runs (drove it home 150 miles), transmission shifts fine, has good brakes and tires and glass, a like new 2 way refrigerator, good captains chairs and the interior appeared to be in fairly good condition but had been neglected for several years. After getting started on renovation, I found some water damage to the floor and paneling that required removal of the interior to replace some flooring under the seats, the sink and the central AC. I have replaced the water damaged wood, rewired the vehicle lights and electrical systems, new gauges, scraped and sanded the old pealing paint preparing for painting in the spring. I have also closed some unused openings where the original refrigerator had been (the main source for the water damage) and sealed around windows. That restoration is currently underway but unfortunately taking much more work and time than I had hoped but I was proceeding on.

Then, I ran across a 1975 Travco Mahal in great condition needing just much less work to bring it back to its former glory, so I bought it.

Now I have 2 Travcos and have shifted priorities. I am now faced with what to do with the 66 Travco. I only have room for one Travco in my garage and I really can’t justify putting more time and money into it. I would like to sell it to someone who would be able to complete the restoration or could use it for parts. It still runs and is drivable. I have even considered salvaging what I can use as spare parts for my 75 and parting out the rest. I prefer not to do that, but I would have to do it quickly as I have nowhere to keep a bone yard Travco for an extended time while parting it out If anyone is interested in a project/parts Travco or if you have a need for parts, contact me and I will let you know if I decide to part her out.

Motorhome is in great condition we have used it for two years now and enjoyed it very much. We have put a good deal of work into it, including updating the interior with new carpet and vinyl flooring, also painting the outside. Runs good, uses no oil we have traveled to myrtle beach and many other places in it. However it lacks the original generator. We have a 4000 watt coleman wired in place of old one. the fridge has been replace with a smaller used one. We would be happy to work with the buyer on delivering. This beast was bought as a project, but just don't have time to work on it. It does run and drive. Has bad rear wheel cylinders(it won't stop). 413 engine, good glass except drivers windshield is cracked at upper corner.The body is in ok shape. Interior is basically gutted but bathroom and kitchen are intact. Right side frame rail behind rear axle is cracked. Smells like cat pee.Onan generator. No title but DMV has no record of it, so getting a new title isn't that big of a deal.

I brought this gem home looking for the same excitment from my wife that I had....I diden't get it. I saw this in a repo lot at the bank & had to get it, so I did. da. It has all new tires, new exhaust, 120V hot water,all done before I got it. It has a 4 cylinder generator, works great, roof heat/ac, works too! I have never camped in it, nor gone on a trip,hooked up the water, just drove it home. My father and I completely refurbished this coach about 5 years ago and refitted the 440 engine with fuel injection and an overdrive. Has a complete new set of awnings and a patio awning thats 24ft long on the passenger side. Before his death last year, Dad and I took it to Arizona - a great trip. This is the Travco for the person who has the time and money to restore it. It needs work but would be a great unit when done. I have neither the skill or the time to restore it, and I hate to sell it.

1. Brownish paint w/ white stripe 2. unknown miles (odo says 29,000 but it must be more) 3. Holley 2BBL carb has been professionally rebuilt, but needs a power valve 4. New distributor and coil 5. Recently acid boiled and epoxy coated gas tank (no more rust!) 6. No a/c or generator 7. I have never filled up the water tanks so I don't know if the water pumps work. 8. Has some slightly sticky valves, so it could use a valve job. 9. Engine is a big block, but I don't know what size 10. I drove it from Chicago to St. Louis with no problems other than the rusty gas tank. 11. Cracked windshield, right rear bedroom window broken, two side glass windows cracked. 12. First $1000 gets it.

This motorhome is in fine shape. Has original teak woodwork including cabinets and walls. New Berber carpet, new drapes and upholstery. All appliances work - gas/electric refrigerator, icemaker, microwave, gas stove and oven, central vacuum, countertop blender. Hello, I JUST found your site, by accident, and I DO have an old (1965) Travco that I would like to pass on. I have owned it for 3 years now, but have only driven in once (home - about 100 miles) to Belfast, Maine. I've owned RV's but never before a Travco. This unit appears to be in original condition, in that it appears to not have been modified much at all. It has the stock big block (318) engine. It does run and shift fine. (I've kept it in running condition. There is an onan generator in running condition. The frame is fairly rusty and would take some serious clean up, as well as the gas tank which needs replacement. The right half windshield is cracked. I'd like to see this go to someone with a strong interest in these units. I think the fiberglass design was great. There has been some fiberglass repair on the very top (watertight). Please drop a note as I believe I have jpeg photos around for it. Lowell

I bought this unit from a 90 yr. old couple. They had not used it for a few years. It had new tires and was on blocks. I towed it to my shop where it has sat for an additional 2-3 years. When I purchased it the engine ran fine. I tried to fire it up recently and the motor is locked. I have not explored why. It has somewhere between 24-27k miles and it would be a perfect candidate for a superior restoration. I simply hold no interest in restoring because my wife does not share my desire to have a Travco. I bought this fine motorhome in 1994 when it had approx 110,000 miles on it. The 8.2 liter Detroit Diesel Turbo had been replace by the previous owner at approx 95,000 miles when he straddled somthing in the road and put a hole in the oil pan (OUCH--$10,000). I think his insurance paid for it. So it now has 130,000, and the new engine is just getting broken in. The exterior finish has been maintained and is excellent, but the stripes (graphics) have begun to flake (they are still available from Foretravel). I have kept it sealed with poly seal since I got it. The interior is dated, but sill in nice shape. It has a side bath with tub and shower, and a rear queen. Cedar Closet, ice maker, micro. Blender. and all the typical amenities. The tires still have lots of tread, but are old. It has 6 Alcoa Aluminum Wheels, jacks (which need a little work) and a full set of Zip Dee Awnings that are all in great shape. If your're interested, call me for details. I am the 3rd owner. All original paperwork is still here. Bought this coach for salmon fishing trips to Seattle and Canada. It never failed me. 3000 miles was a piece of cake. Parked for the past 4 years and will now need to be towed. Toilet here but removed. Right front brake locked, carb needs overhaul. 318 cid. Kohler 6.5 kw water cooled generator. 6,600 ORIGINAL miles, 318 CI. All new hoses & belts. Rebuilt brakes, wheel cyls, lining, wheel seals. New radial tires. The outside was repainted once to the original colors. Has the original working Kohler 6500 watt generator. Everything works and is in good condition-furnace, hot water heater, refrigerator, shower, toilet, 12 volt water pump. Hello,

I just dragged my "parts" Travco home and I will sell off whatever items I will not need in fixing up my 1972 "Cross Country Classic"

A) Most of the interior. B) Most of the Glass. C) Radiator (cleaned, repaired and painted). D) Large gas tank (NEEDS cleaning and painting) E) A few extra stock wheels. F) Propane add on to stock carb so vehicle can be driven on gasoline OR Propane at a flick of a switch (Certainly needs overhauling) G) I will cut out repair pannels from the body if that will help anyone. H) ???

I am in Vermont. I can ship, perhaps deliver and if you come and pick up stuff you can park on our mountain top farm for a few nights.

I would TRADE some of my stuff for your extra SCREEN DOOR or AWNING.

The Travco is in reasonable condition. It works well as a house and has a Micro wave, 3 way domestic fridge. 6 Kw Onan generator, roof air, Dash air(needs a hose replaced). Dodge 413 engine. Newer Michellin tires all the way around (about 10,000 miles on them). The Suspension has been upgraded with sway bars and air bags on the rear. Just needs a little TLC. I wanted to finish the project but have no time. Must sell. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We would consider meeting buyer part way.

Gotta let go of the dream. No place to put her in this semi-urban environment. Very clean unit purchased from original owners 2 years ago. Rebuilt 440 and trans with less than 200 miles, Recored rad., boiled out gas tank, new carb,ect. Perfect gel coat (this guy must have waxed it every day). Needs brake job but is operable. Rear bath model. Original blue interior in excellent condition (carpet needs updating).
