| I shot this picture the day I brought it home and pressure
washed the moss off'n it. I took it on a 1000 mile trip to Quartzsite,
Arizona, with no problems. Its very powerful with a 413, quad carb
and headers, but the rear-end is geared too low for it. Had a hard time
keeping it under 60. The original water pressure tank and compressor work
great. I call her my "$300 Bargain!" |

Here is a picture of "Gertrude" just after I
bought her from her 3rd owner in Melbourne FL in 1990. She had just 50,000
miles on the clock, and had been used as a shoreside cottage for the last
few years before I got her. She had not been run for a number of years,
but cranked right up to drive her to her new home in Merritt Island FL.
Since then, she has taken me to Utah (for 6 years) and is now with me in
Port Hadlock WA where we have been for the last 3 years. She still gets
better than 13 miles per gallon.
