I'm currently in the process of installing a
rear gear conversion from 4.88:1 to 4.10:1. It's powered by a
later-model 440 crate motor installed in 1977 and has approximately 100k
miles on the chassis and the original 6.5kw Onan genset is
still running strong. Some extra windows and an extra gas/elect
combo fridge were installed by the previous owner, and the workmanship on
those additions and the construction in general is excellent...the
pride and joy of its previous owner shows in the diligent maintenance
this RV has had over the years, and I have a suspicion that I'll be
equally happy with it.
