I PURCHASED MY TRAVCO TO USE IN THE INFIELD OF MICHIGAN
INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY FOR NASCAR RACES. WE HAVE INSTALLED A DECK ON THE
TOP FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER TO THE LADDER SO WE CAN SET ON TOP TO WATCH
THE RACE, WE HAVE NOW ADDED A "BACK PORCH" AND THE OLD PAINT JOB
JUST HAD TO BE CHANGED TO GIVE IT A LITTLE FLAIR OF IT'S OWN. IT IS STILL
A CLASSIC. WE GET MORE ATTENTION AT THE TRACK THAN A $100,000. BUS.

We live in MO and just recently purchased a Travco in
Virginia (we are the last of the families of the band Spontaneous
Combustion to buy a Travco-now we all own one). We were heartbroken
when the Travco we purchased made the drive from Virginia all the way to
Concordia, MO, but then broke down. We are waiting to find out
how bad the diagnosis is.

My son, Pat and I though that we would not find any
information on the Travco cause of it age. No one .here in New Jersey has
ever seen one... " o. it a Airstream or something". There
is our before and after pics of our 73 Dodge Travco. We found it out in
the woods of Blairstown, NJ behind a old barn...dirt but in good
condition... after a few weeks of cleaning, it is a great find, and the
price was right.

I purchased my Travco in '97 with 91,000
mi. on it. Aside from some lifter noise the 413 runs great. I have
put about 20,000 mi. on it. Went to Washington DC a few years ago with
absolutely no problems. I did put new Michelins on when I got it, had a
front end alignment and a carb rebuild. That's it. I have also replaced
most of the paneling and cupboard doors. Aside from removing the couch and
replacing it with counter and storage space I have left the basic interior
design the same.
