Why "myTravco?"

Selecting a name for a web site should be fairly easy.  All you have to do is make sure the name isn't already taken.  Other sites already existed that included the name Travco.  From a Russian business firm to an Egyptian travel agency, the name Travco seemed to mean everything but motor homes on the internet.  A new name search was on.

When designing the web site, I started with a mission statement and went on to outline some goals for the site.  The mission statement isn't just about Travco motor homes or to collect everything about Travco.  Sure, I want that to be included on the site, but it was also our our personal experiences with our Travcos.  Our restorations... our travels... our breakdowns... our humor... our obsession with this classic beast.  Just starting the site, I knew each of us would share our experiences in first person:  my restoration, my breakdowns, my travels, my humor, and on and on.  Then it hit me "MY."  

As true Travco enthusiasts, we don't talk about that thing in the driveway or "the" Travco.  We each have "MY" Travco.  The name stuck.  We could all relate to each other as we each talked about "my Travco."  This personification of our motor homes best describes our relationship with her.
