Replacing the Generator Bay Housing in a TRAVCO
by Paul Meredith

The generator compartment of my 75/270 rusted through completely, allowing the generator to fall through the floor.  I had to completely rebuild the compartment and design floor supports to support the weight of the large generator.   I had the local tin shop cut floor and side panels and formed sheet metal brackets to support the floor.  I then had the local iron shop cut some channel iron for the floor supports, which I bolted to the ends of the generator bay.  The photos below show the project.
