TRAVCO
by Bill Wayne
Thanks to Bill Wayne for providing this restoration project and
a ton of photos. This page will take a while to load due to the number of
photos. If you want a closer view, just click on any of these to enlarge.
Photo 001-110: View under the rear bunk where the hot water tank is located. View is how it appeared upon discovery that the tank would need replacing.
110-148: Various views of the tank with the galvanized plated cover removed. The views show the damage to the tank that
occurred over the years.
150-186 shows the cover removed, the tank turned "upright" for more detailed, favorable views.

187-195: Views of the top for further clarification.

196-206: Outside view of galvanized cover.

251-254: What it looks like after the removal of tank.

300-360: Surprise... what was in the box... including part number.

362-365: Determining where to put the legs and attaching them as well as positioning the tank.

400-505: Rough "draft"/positioning of the potable water tank and getting the area opened up for the new water tank.

523-525: Close look at flexible stainless steel water lines as well as part numbers.

530-542: The correct placement, laying out of the water lines, making sure all will work out as well as future servicing.

545-545: A peek at the mess I am wading thru as I do this job!

547-554: More fitting and tryouts keeping in mind I might have to repair and R & R parts.

576-578: Much needed corrections and re-installation of the circuit breakers for the INVERTER.

579-580: Close-up of the almost or should be "mandatory" check valve.

600-603: Close-up of bed side supports where the lid closes.
Every time I went to work inside the tank area, the top edges would sag in/down. To support and stop it, I added these supports.

641-641: You can see where I put the supports on the left side of
picture. Will probably do the other bed as I like a firm" ride.

641-701: Inverter moved, as well as reposition of other lines.

721-721: Another refresher peek at the current mess.

730-741: "Modifying some potable ports."

750-999: My way of a remedy for the hack job of the previous owners regarding.
The easy access by anyone to MY drinking water.
Minimum outside damage to body by cutting more holes. Tried to use what was available and no-one really knowing what or how I did it....
