Get ready for Travstock 2004 in Indiana
June 13-18, 2004
A team of Travstock veterans has been working for months to find just the right place that would appeal to everyone.  Well, we found it!  Plus, we've changed Travstock to a "weekday" event and added another day of activities.  Travstock will be a Sunday evening through Thursday event.   This also allows two days on the weekend before, and three days on the weekend after, as travel time.

How we came to pick the place...........................

The Red Pushpins represent the home location of each myTravco.com member.  
The Yellow Circle represents a 500 mile radius from our Travstock 2004 location.  As you can see, 
we have chosen this location specifically because of its proximity to a large portion of our membership. 


Please look over these 5 items:

1.  I need your Travstock deposit of $65 by February 28th:  That's right, we have to move fast to plan for this event.  This deposit pays your myTravco.com rally fees and first night's stay.  Afterward, you will be responsible to pay your additional nights at the camp site.

  • Santa Claus Post Office

      The Santa Claus Post Office is the only post office in the world with the Santa Claus name. Stop by to receive the famous Santa Claus postmark during the Christmas season and see where thousands of children’s letters to Santa are received each year.   • Frosty’s Fun Center 
    • Santa Claus, Indiana (1/2 mile west of Lake Rudolph)
      This business offers a Christmas themed miniature golf course, arcade, tasty snacks, sandwiches, ice cream and fresh pizza.  The challenging 18-hole miniature golf course includes twists and turns abound to intrigue anyone daring enough to take it on.  The course is estimated to be a par 45.  You will find Christmas reminders throughout the nicely landscaped course including a 9' Frosty melting into a running water stream.  An arcade is located inside.  Located just off Highway 162, next to Santa's Lodge in Santa Claus.   • Christmas Lake Golf Course

      One of the finest 18-hole championship golf courses in the Midwest.   • Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial
    • Lincoln City, Indiana (5 miles west of Lake Rudolph)
      On this southern Indiana farm, Abraham Lincoln spent fourteen of the most formative years of his life and grew from youth into manhood. His mother, Nancy Hanks Lincoln, is buried here.   • Lincoln State Park (Dept. of Natural Resources)

      This site features the Indiana Department of Natural Resources with information on all state parks, including Lincoln State Park and the Lincoln Amphitheatre. Call (812) 937-4710.

  • Colonel William Jones State Historic Site
    • Gentryville, Indiana (6 miles west of Lake Rudolph)
      This carefully restored 1834 Federal-design home of the merchant employer of Abraham Lincoln offers a unique look at the early development of Indiana and the life of Colonel William Jones, who was also a politician. The home includes guided tours, themed talks, exhibits and gifts. This State Historic Site is situated on 100 acres of forest, and also offers a self-guiding nature trail, picnic area and a restored log barn. Located one mile west of U.S. 231 on Boone Street in Gentryville. Call (812) 937-2802.
  • Monastery Immaculate Conception 
    • Ferdinand, Indiana (9 miles north of Lake Rudolph)
      The "Castle on the Hill" is home to one of the nation's largest communities of Benedictine women. Guided tours include the majestic domed church, outdoor Stations of the Cross, Lourdes Grotto, and Rosary steps. The monastery gift shop, "For Heaven's Sake," is open Tues.-Sat., 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tours are available Tuesday through Sunday.   • Saint Meinrad Archabbey
    • St. Meinrad, Indiana (10 miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      Saint Meinrad Archabbey offers a peaceful and spiritual retreat with beautiful grounds and the opportunity for prayer with Benedictine monks. Founded in 1854, Saint Meinrad is one of only two archabbeys in the United States; one of seven in the world. The monks operate a graduate-level School of Theology, which offers programs in priesthood formation and in lay leadership for the Roman Catholic Church, as well as an extensive Continuing Education program. Guided tours are available on Saturdays from March to November at 1:30 p.m. local time. Self-guided and audio cassette guided tours are available year-round. Tours for groups by reservation only.   • Abbey Press Gift Shop
    • St. Meinrad, Indiana (10 miles east of Lake Rudolph)

  • Dr. Ted’s Musical Marvels 
    • Dale, Indiana (10 miles northwest of Lake Rudolph)
      Don’t miss taking a guided tour of this magnificent collection of restored mechanical musical instruments, including nickelodeons, orchestrions, music boxes and street organs. Take a trip back in time as you listen to the magical music produced by these amazing instruments. Also features a gift shop. Group tours are available by appointment.   • Motorhead Park & Midwest BMX
    • Newtonville, Indiana (10 miles south of Lake Rudolph)
      Southern Indiana's hot spot for non-stop RACING ACTION!  Go Karts, Flat Track Motorcycles, MudPits, and Turbo Blue Racing Fuel.  Midwest BMX is a national competition-level BMX track located on 3-4 acres of land donated by Motorhead Park.  This is an exciting downhill course sanctioned by the National Bicycle League.  State and national events are planned at the course.  BMX is a sport that provides challenging racing activity, and the opportunity to compete on a local, regional and national level, as well as incorporating a trophy recognition program.  Practice, events, races and clinics are held at the track.  Located just off Highway 70, on County Road 600E, north of Newtonville, Indiana.  Call for a schedule of events at (812) 362-8508.
  • Mary Rose Herb Farm & Retreat

    • Bristow, Indiana (14 miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      208 acres of nature at it’s very best!   The farm is a serene place where visitors can relax and enjoy the beauty...a quaint place where the past and present meet. Visitors can’t help but notice several YURT structures as they approach the farm.   • Huntingburg League Stadium
    • Huntingburg, Indiana (18 miles north of Lake Rudolph)
      This 1894 stadium was one of the sites for the filming of the 1992 hit movie, "A League of Their Own," starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis. In 1995, HBO Productions used the stadium to film their movie, "Soul of the Game." Tours are conducted by movie extras and are available by appointment by calling (812) 683-2211. Located on First Street and Cherry Street in Huntingburg.
  • Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum 
    • Rockport, Indiana (25 miles south of Lake Rudolph)
      The Lincoln Pioneer Village Museum houses hundreds of fascinating artifacts from the area’s historic past including a hutch made by Abraham Lincoln’s father, Thomas. Located next to the museum is the historic Lincoln Pioneer Village, consisting of cabins that are replicas from the Lincoln era in Spencer County. This site was originally a W.P.A. project.   • Holiday Drive-In Movie Theater
    • Reo, Indiana (located 30 miles south of Lake Rudolph)
      Take in the latest movies at one of the few drive-in theaters left for all generations to enjoy. Watch from your car or bring a lawn chair and enjoy watching your favorite new releases while enjoying the summer night air and stars. Includes five screens and a snack bar.   • Ramey Riding Stables 
    • Rockport, Indiana (located 30 miles south of Lake Rudolph)
      Horse lovers will want to get away to these stables and indoor arena where boarding, riding lessons, and leisurely trail rides are available. Located next to Trail’s End Bed & Breakfast on Highway 45, three miles west of Rockport and one mile east of SR 161 (formerly U.S. 231). Call (812) 649-9579.
  • Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame
    • Jasper, Indiana (30 miles north of Lake Rudolph)
      Located in the Alvin C. Ruxer Student Center at the Vincennes University Jasper Campus, this collection features unique memorabilia from Indiana high school baseball players and professional players from the Hoosier State. Open during campus hours and weekends or by appointment by calling (812) 482-2262. Located on Hwy. 162 South in Jasper.
  • Sultan's Run Golf Course

    • Jasper, Indiana (35 miles north of Lake Rudolph)
      An 18 Hole Championship Golf Course designed by Tim Liddy in 1996. The course includes a full-scale practice facility, stocked Golf Shop, golf instruction, and group outings. It is open to the public and tee times are requested. Located on 1490 N. Meridian Rd. Call (812) 482-1009.

  • Patoka Lake 

    • Wickliffe, Indiana (45 miles north of Lake Rudolph)
      A 26,000 acre recreation area, Patoka Lake, offers an 8,800 acre lake with boating, a swimming beach, and paved biking and hiking trails. Open year-round. The solar-heated Visitor Center offers the Raptor Education Program that includes illustrated displays on wildlife, history, birds of prey, solar energy and the viewing of a live bald eagle. Patoka Lake Interpretive Center is open daily 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Located on Hwy. 164 east of Jasper near Wickliffe. Call (812) 685-2464.

  • Marengo Cave U.S. National Landmark

    • Marengo, Indiana (48 Miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      Nestled in the limestone hills of southern Indiana is Marengo Cave, one of the most beautiful show caves in the eastern United States. Designated a U. S. National Landmark based on its great beauty, and extremely large classic trunk passage, Marengo Cave has long been considered by speleologists and geologists as one of the Midwest's finest natural wonders.   • Wyandotte Caves
    • Leavenworth, Indiana (48 miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      The Historic Cave is open for tours from May 1st through Labor Day.  A variety of tours are available from the Historic Flint Mine Tour (40 Minutes) to the Monument Mountain Tour (about 90 minutes). The Monument Mountain Tour includes one of the world's highest underground mountains and rare helictite formations.   The New Cave is open for tours from March 1st through October 31st.  This 30 minute tour winds through spectacular formations.  Wyandotte Caves are open daily at 9:00 a.m. (eastern daylight time).   • Squire Boone Caverns & Village
    • Corydon, Indiana (50 miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      Boone brothers, Daniel and Squire, discovered the cavern in 1790 where Squire finally settled.  Between 1804 and 1809, Squire built a gristmill near the mouth of the cave that serves as the focal point of Squire Boone Village today.  The village includes craft shops, playground, picnic groves, kitchen, bakery and candy cabin.  Parking fee charged in addition to tour admission.  Open year-round. Located on SR 135, 13 miles south of I-64 in Corydon. Call (812) 732-4382.
  • Cave Country Canoes 
    • Milltown, Indiana (50 miles east of Lake Rudolph)
      Flowing through the forests of the Southern Indiana Hill Country, the Blue River is the most spring fed of all Indiana's streams. The many springs account for the aqua-blue color of the river, leading to the name "The Blue". In many areas limestone bluffs, dotted with cave entrances, tower above the river attesting to the fact that "The Blue" flows through the heart of Indiana's Cave Country. The river valley is noted for its abundant wildlife, natural beauty, and excellent canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Located 5 miles east of Marengo Cave just off SR 64 in Milltown. 4.  Travstock is for Travcos:  I do appreciate all the attention this web site gets from our fellow classic motor home friends, but we have to limit Travstock to Travco owners and their families only.

Your deposit pays for costs incurred by myTravco.com and one night's stay.  Each additional night and your activities are at your own expense.  You are responsible for paying your final bill before leaving.
