Theatre Company announces auditions for “It’s A Wonderful Life,” written
by James W. Rodgers and based on the classic film by Frank Capra.
Play adaptation by James W. Rodgers.
Auditions will be held October 5 & 6, 2009 at the NCTC theatre.
Callbacks will be October 8.
Those auditioning will be required to cold read from the script.
This is a fairly large cast with many roles for adults and
children. No experience is
necessary. We invite
seasoned performers and have many roles for those coming for their first
time. We also have numerous
roles for crew members working behind the scenes.
“It’s A Wonderful Life” is the heart-warming saga of
George Bailey, the man from Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and
adventure have been repeatedly quashed by duty. It is Christmas Eve, and
George’s guardian angel, Clarence, descends to save him from despair,
and to remind him that his life has been after all, a wonderful life!
This sparkling and magical play has all your favorite characters:
George and Mary, Mother Bailey, Uncle Billy, Violet, and of course, Mr.
Potter. This Christmas
classic is sure to be the must-see event of the season.
“It’s a Wonderful Life”
is directed by Tony Peregoy. Rehearsals will be
in the evening on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays beginning in
mid-October. Performances
will be held at NCTC, December 11, 12, 13, 18, 19,
and 20, 2009.
